The title of this blog is meant to capture how life feels for me, and I would guess for many others out there, too. The conditions of modern American Christianity have made many of us feel homeless. Like wonderers in the wilderness, spread out without the familiarity of place and people. Specifically I have in mind an ecclesial homelessness that is the result of knowing that the church that birthed me is not the church that can raise me into the fullness of the faith. But once I leave home, where am I to go? By what criteria do I choose a new tradition?
Knowing that only through the church does one truly find salvation and yet being in a place where I cannot find a church, this blog then represents the thoughts of a man in his own diaspora.
